VACUUM PUMP OIL

An air conditioning vacuum pump is a mechanical device that is used to remove air and other gases from an air conditioning system. The vacuum pump is connected to the system through a hose, and it creates a vacuum inside the system by drawing out the air and other gases. This is typically done in order to remove moisture from the system, which can cause corrosion and other problems if it is not removed.

Air conditioning vacuum pump oil is used to lubricate the moving parts of the vacuum pump and help to keep it running smoothly. The oil helps to reduce friction and wear on the pump, and it also helps to seal any gaps between moving parts to prevent leaks. Using the correct type of oil is important, as using the wrong type of oil can cause problems with the pump or the system itself.

  • Vacuum Pump Oil | VPO-1Q | 32 Oz

Vacuum Pump Oil

Part#VPO-1Q | 32 Oz

Hab Chem’s Vacuum Pump Oil is a top-quality oil that effectively prevents corrosion and minimizes sludge while preventing foam buildup. It’s specifically designed using a high- grade blend of lubricants that offer exceptional anti-wear protection. With outstanding oxidation resistance and water separation properties, this oil creates a tighter seal, allows for a deeper vacuum and traps more contaminants than the competition.

  • SURPASES ASTM D943, D655,D130, & D1401
  • IDEALLY LOW VAPOR PRESSURE
  • PULLS DEEPER VACUUM
  • REDUCES FOAM BUILDUP
  • TRAPS AND ABSORBS MOISTURE
  • MULTI-VISCOSITY OIL

Changing Vacuum Pump Oil Basics

Here are the steps for changing the oil in a vacuum pump:

  1. Turn off the vacuum pump and let it cool down.
  2. Drain the old oil from the pump. To do this, locate the drain plug or valve on the bottom of the pump and remove it. The oil will drain out. If your pump does not have a drain plug or valve, you may need to tip the pump to drain the oil.
  3. Clean the pump. Use a clean cloth to wipe away any dirt or debris from the pump.
  4. Replace the drain plug or valve.
  5. Add the new oil to the pump. Refer to the owner’s manual for the recommended type and amount of oil to use.
  6. Start the pump and run it for a few minutes to circulate the new oil.
  7. Check the oil level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum levels marked on the oil dipstick or sight glass. If necessary, add more oil to bring the level to the correct range.
  8. Run the pump for a few more minutes to make sure it is working properly.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for changing the oil in your specific vacuum pump.
